June's Rhymes

My  Daughter

My daughter is so dear to me.
I hope she knows, and can see.
That my feelings for her are strong.
Even though, she's sometimes wrong.
I know her faults, I know her flaws.
But that doesn't give me a cause,
to not love her from my heart.
From this love, I will not part.
Of this thing, she can be sure,
I'll help her cope, and endure.
Life is hard and trying, too.
I'll be there, to help her through.
I love her dearly, to the end.
My daughter, my gift, my friend.
