Recently in Australia
A new government has taken place~
And even though a new broom sweeps clean
One new decision is a somewhat disgrace~
Away up in the Australian Snowy Mountains
Wild horses they have always roamed amongst the gum~
After Australia it was first settled back when
This is what the wild Brumbies they have done~
Now here in Australia 2008 a new government rules
And though a new broom does sweep clean~
They want to eradicate and remove the mountain Brumbies
And the decision is of course mostly green~
It was the greens who made the mountains a national park
To protect it from damage of Gods creations up there on the land~
Won't be long and don't walk upon the grass signs at all
Will grace the entire Snowy mountains region ever grand~
Nature has it's own way as always
Of keeping things in shape over time~
It's only often due to man it's true
That often courses nature trouble down the line~
Way before these mountains were a national park
All was natural as it always was supposed to be~
Then a chosen few as man must always do
Set many of natures own rules and methods free~
They say the Brumbies are running wild up there
To figure that out one does not need a degree~
But so do the kangaroos,wombats and emus too
All mans pure stupidity it all sounds to me~
When the brumbies breed and improve by number
Men once went up and mustered off a few~
And took them home as their own
This kept the numbers down it's true~
But the powers that be put a stop almost to that
And now the brumbies improve by many~
They in control now decide that they have to go
Common sense they have not any~
Man once again simply changing all God created
In mans own very often stupid way~
Why upon Gods earth cannot they leave anything alone
That has been almost forever and a day~
Those Brumbies have almost been there a hundred almost years
And the Snowy Mountains are as beautiful as ever~
But the colour green knows better than God himself it seems
In some cases and what they sometimes do is far from clever~
The Brumbies have always simply grazed the over grown growth
All this time till now along comes the colour green~
Brumbies not hurting anybody or themselves or the high country
Up there it is a part of Australia thats always been~
Every horse and God loving person alive today
Should ask them to leave the mountains Brumbies alone~
As they have always been a part of the region there
In their Australian Snowy River Mountain home~
How they choose to eradicate or remove the Brumbies
On it's own does boggle ones own very mind~
But some sit behind desks and try their best
New ways to change the natural world you'll find~
If they allowed some to go and muster them up there
And then take their choice of same~
Their would not be a problem mostly at all
Up where the rivers begin from snow and rain~
Protect the natural wild Australian Snowy Mountain Brumbies
As beautiful a horse you'll mostly often find~
But so it does seem once more the colour green
In it's wave of change leaves very little behind~
Protect the wild Australian Snowy Mountain Brumbies
Up on the Snowy Mountains where they've always called their home~
Up where wombats,kangaroos,emus too and eagles fly
Protect and leave the Australian Snowy Mountain wild Brumbies alone~
