Live your life with pride..........................
A secret life of thirty years,
A gay guy tryin" to shout.
Relationships and one night stands,
But I wouldn't dare come out.
In a world of non acceptance,
As a youngster being gay.
"We'll take you to the doctor son",
Were the words my folks would say.
Ignorance is supposed to be bliss,
Tho' these feelings I had to hide.
No wonder so many youngsters now,
Are turning to suicide.
To be the person I truly am,
I had to move away.
And now there is no fear there,
I'm proud to say, "I'm gay."
Don't keep your life a secret,
Don't run away and hide.
Just be the person you want to be,
And live your life with pride............
