June's Rhymes

What Would You Be?

I don't know what to do.
I can't stop thinking of you.
It's been a long, long time,
since you were here and mine.
I think of what you would be.
I sure wish I could see.

You'd be all grown up by now.
I wish I could see you somehow.
I would give you a big embrace.
You would gently kiss my face.
Oh Keith, what would you be?
I sure wish I could see.

There's a brother, and sister, too.
They would both love to know you.
You'd be friends, and hang out.
You would be close, no doubt.
My heart wouldn't hurt and cry.
It would soar, way up high.
But it isn't that way at all.
My heart doesn't soar, it falls.
Oh Keith, what would you be?
I sure wish I could see.
