 ANOTHER     PAIR?

Of course I need another pair
What a silly question to ask
For me it is such a pleasure
And not a foot-aching task

It isn't my fault I love them
As much as I really do
Even the boring, tedious bit
Try standing in a queue

My resolve is always weakening
As I walk the high street of life
Stilettos as high as a skyscraper
And pointed like a knife

Platforms that give me the height I need
Ankle straps that are sexy and cute
Why is it when I come home with another pair
You are launched into the world of mute

Ok, I promise never to buy another shoe
Even when my heels are worn and bare
My soul is strong and given completely to you
Your love is all I need to wear
