 Helium

I remember my first Birthday balloon,
it was tied to my bed in my room.
I untied the knot and outside I ran,
the ribbon then slipped though my hand.
Then up in the air my balloon did fly,
as I sat with tears in each eye.
Now every time I see a balloon in the sky,
I can't stop the tears no matter how hard I try.
