Once I remember horse and cart
Slower then was the way~
People actually had time to think
But not so of late today~
Once the further one had to go
They left home earlier it's true~
Now it's rush rush all of the time
By the clock we all are victims too~
Too many cars on roads today
Each average family has two,three or four~
To date more lives lost on the roads by far
Than in and during the worlds second world war~
Rushing rushing all of the time each day
Have to this and that as well it seems to be~
No body takes their time any more to relax
In their life as once did back several a year and three~
Lives are shorter , many do not live as long
And yet we dare to wonder why~
With all this time clock rushing all of the time day and night
We wonder about people getting sicker sooner younger and so they die~
All money,progress and many excuses of gain
Like an over populated ants nest here on earth~
Getting worser every single day and night
And so many giving it all their worth~
Rushing rushing,more and more greed
Faster faster still~
Adding more yet pressure to every life upon earth
It seems to get worse all the time until~
One day we will have no option but to slow down
Maybe go back a ways to old methods good~
When people actually had time to enjoy life and think
Back when we had time to smell the flowers as we should
But now it's rushing rushing , All of the time
Schedules to meet every single day~
Always something has simply to be done
And all of these thanks to this extra bills to pay~
All one big plan by money and monopoly man
Have all feel they need this way to be~
But I for one under moon and sun
Would go back to the older methods of tranquility~
