And The Wedding Went Ahead!!

And the wedding went ahead you know!
Oh but it did, and what a fantastic day!
We had to bring it forward you see,
Cos the health, well, it wasn't ok!

Cos that tumour in my mouth, oh heck!
I had to have it removed, and fast!
And they wouldn't let me cancel it!
And my wedding day was fading fast!!

So we decided to bring it forward…
Didn't want to look an awful mess!
I'd have looked like a battered wife the first day!
And that wasn't in my plans I guess!

Everyone was panicking cos I was cancelling,
And my mother told me to go ahead,
Said my Rich wouldn't care the colour of my face!
So have the operation and get wed!

Well no way was I going to do that, no way!
Get married looking like I'd been hit by a bus!
But my mother, bless her, wouldn't have it!
And I really couldn't see all the fuss!

It was my special day you see,
Being black and blue was not an option for me,
For on my pictures, I wanted to look…
As decent and as normal as I could be!

So we brought the wedding forward,
In a matter of 3 hours it was done!
Just like that, with 3 phone calls!
And trust me, it wasn't much fun!

Cos everyone had to be told right away!
They only had 2 weeks notice you see!
So I made all the calls, did the best I could!
And the wedding day was all that it should be!!

FANTASTIC!
With a capital F!!!

It all works out in the end ya know!
Trust me, I'm a poet!

Just another glitch dear, just another glitch!!
