Rhymes of the Heart

Colors Of Abuse

Purples blues greens and black
Colors I wear so well
Concealing them as best I can
In this my prison cell

Black I never thought I'd wear
For it clearly reeks of death
Mingled with the shades of blue
Trying hard to catch my breath

Purple shines so brightly
Upon alabaster skin
Dark glasses cannot truly hide
The abuse concealed within

Green once an envious shade
That black covers all too soon
Sometimes I even pray for death
While gazing at the moon

Purples blues greens and black
Colors I wear so well
For that's the ones he favors most
In this my living Hell
