First Of AllI first heard your name upon the wind While walking alone one day~ As I walked and as I thought I love you it seemed to say~ I saw your name within the trail Of a falling star~ As I sat looking out of my window Into the night sky ever far~ I heard your name within the cry Of a bird down by the sea~ It had me think one day I'd find you And that you were my destiny~ I am sure one day I saw your face Within the water of a babbling brook~ Away up in the mountains I rubbed my eyes for a second look~ I am sure I saw you walking in a fog A second later you were not there~ I knew one day I'd meet you My one true love beyond compare~ I thought I'd seen you dancing Within the autumn leaves of gold~ The one true love I'd searched for More beautiful than all romantic stories told~ It took me the longest time With only you upon my mind~ I knew you but had not met you My one true love one day to find~ Now I know you and you know me Together are we now as one~ Never ever more to part Till the last setting of the sun~ Fate had told me of you In so many different of a way~ A dream come true just as I always knew It would be some sweet day~ Terrence Michael Sutton Copyright 2008 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
