Battle of Darkness and Light
This is an allegorical poem about good and evil.
O Darkness,
you get your strength from the night
that runs from the light
in the fierce battle,
So you try killing our dreams
by working in our long shadows
being cast from the sun
When anxious seeds are planted under our feet,
Troubles are born
But some say we don't have a choice
when we hear thy penetrating voice in the silent night
O Lord I haven't fallen yet but I just might
because the distance light is beginning to fade
And the dark agents of the night are starting
to work in the shade,
trying to bring us down
Then I think...another long night has come
which I must fight back the hounds
