To Alani Faith on her first birthday 26th January 2008
Can`t believe Alani Faith
Is one year old today
Into everything she sees
Learning how to play
Walking, pointing, dancing too
Music in her soul
A smile that steals the heart from you
Cuddles to console
Bright blue eyes dark curly hair
Likes to have her space
I want this and I want that
That`s Alani Faith
Red and pink`s her colour
Skin is creamy peach
Asks you why with widened eye
That good thing`s out of reach
Sing a song for me she cries
Wriggling her bum
Smiles with satisfaction
When you begin to hum
Yesterday has flown away
Tomorrow she`ll be two
So my Lani, from your Nannie
Here is what to do
Have a lovely day today
Yes have lots of fun
`Cause my darling Lani Faith
Now, today, you`re one.
