 WHERE ARE WE?

Give me something
to believe in
I know there are
no guarantees
but where the hell
are we
without
Hope?

Don't watch
the news any more
Nothing but
sadness
crime
tragedy

Life alone
sends enough
of that our way
and we deal
we cope
But where the hell
are we
without
Hope?

Don't listen in on
the radio any more
Shock jocks
and gossip
and let's sell
you some
more

Joy can't be reached
with a joke about
someone who's
different from you
It stabs
It tears
The wounds never heal
And where the hell
are we
without
Hope?
