As long as time it self began
I guess it's always been the same~
Music and song was always around
Like the falling of the rain~
I first remember country and Rock n Roll
How back then we all were right there~
Then came the seventies music and freedom too
When many wore a flower in their hair~
Free love was back then but not for me
Surfing was well on the way in time~
Yet another music era by the sea
And many songs we could not leave behind~
Country music was always my thing
In work and play and song~
But Rock n Roll it plays still today
As it remained that strong~
Love songs always filled our lives
Sublime words of a romantic kind~
Music and song always a part of our lives
Music and songs that filled our mind~
There will always be that special song
That takes us back then to a time~
A song that remained within our hearts
That revives a memory oh so fine~
That first love , That special day
A song or that music played~
Music and song that captured us
And within our hearts and minds it stayed~
At times when we are not thinking at all
A special song will find a way~
To transport us right back so far
To a special time and day~
But country stayed with me all the while
My being born a country boy in all ways~
Though I loved and remembered many different kinds
Of music and song that filled my back then days~
Music and song they both will always have a way
To take us back to when , A time back then~
To a time we knew and loved , a memory
Music and song will always take us back agen~
