Missing My Dad
All of the time I was growing up
I never got to know my Dad,
He had apologised many times
For the life that I had.
He missed out on birthday's
All of the Christmas's too,
Halloweens and Thanksgivings
Even report cards, were missed by you.
Many nights we would talk
About the sadness that he felt,
But, in the game of life
That's the cards we were dealt.
I am not blaming God
For the life that I had,
It's not His fault
I'm just missing my Dad.
