A man of physical condition
Is irrelevant it is so~
When it comes to what makes a real man a man
As through life he tends to go~
Nothing at all wrong with being fit
And being physically strong~
What what really matters more in life to be sure
Is what strength he has within all along~
A way bigger man within himself
Is never afraid to be kind~
A way better man deep inside of himself
Is not scared to improve his mind~
A much wiser man knows of wisdom
And that wisdom does not patronize us at all~
He knows that we have to follow it
And that the lack of this is to fall~
A gentler man he walks softly
As he ventures to walk through his life~
Not always insisting things go his way
And doing his best to not cause any strife~
A good man is not afraid to show love
Has not the ego to impress the eye~
And strives to do good for as many
As he can in life till the day he does die~
A real man is of honesty
Integrity for him every time~
He has and follows his values
And has the ability to always walk the line~
It's the weaker man that always turns to violence
Not being willing to admit in any way~
That he feels being good is beneath him
As he lives his life night and day~
Men of all sizes in life become heroes
All shapes and forms make up the better man~
He is never afraid of compassion
And will do a good turn if he can~
I look at a world of such violence
And I wonder how proud they must be~
Of what their mothers think of them
If the real self in mirrors they see~
So many these days spending lifetimes
In the gym and all of the rest~
Instead of a career of just hard work
As it once was to be fit and pass the test~
The real man he dotes on his family
And totally adores his own wife~
Works day and night and respects all
And is never the cause of sheer strife~
I feel that the meaning of being
A real man in this day and age~
They should go back and read all the old facts
In the old books and read every page~
