Poetry For Everyday People
Dear Friend
It isn't the time
we spend together now
but the time we've had,
the seeds we planted
the nights, the days,
the fishing trips,
the emergencies,
strong roots,
a brotherhood,
a tie so sophisticated
we could barely describe,
life can't much
effect that, ten
years later I see
you and it's as if
we had a beer
the night before,
man the real deal
is just the real deal,
easy, fits like air, fits
like love, fits like a moon
over our heads as we toast
life, a friendship, a time,
Scott
I love you brother.
we spend together now
but the time we've had,
the seeds we planted
the nights, the days,
the fishing trips,
the emergencies,
strong roots,
a brotherhood,
a tie so sophisticated
we could barely describe,
life can't much
effect that, ten
years later I see
you and it's as if
we had a beer
the night before,
man the real deal
is just the real deal,
easy, fits like air, fits
like love, fits like a moon
over our heads as we toast
life, a friendship, a time,
Scott
I love you brother.
