I lie in a cold graceless state,
all joy has been unceremoniously
removed from my heart.
The brightness of my soul has been
dampened and dulled by loss.
My mind swirls with thoughts of what
could have and should have been.
Great sadness overwhelms my life.
As I ponder why my sweet,precious
little Dawna Sue was taken away
from us so soon.
