IDES OF JANUARY

Will this month ever end?
I don't know where to begin
Friday the 13Th is an unlucky day
In nineteen fifty I was caught
Disoriented in a snow storm
It was January 13, Friday that day
Thirty years ago January 19Th
My mother passed away
This year, 16Th of January 2008
Heard loud noises in the pipes
Downstairs the basement flooded
In the time to cleanup the mess
The phone rang, "Your Sister is in the hospital."
Early morning the 17Th she passed away
We were taking classes to be Poll Booth Judges
Wife said, "I have pains in my heart."
They are keeping her overnight.
The good news, tomorrow is February 1St.
