A SOLOIST
A soloist was I
Playing a tune for one
No accompaniment
Just a lonely song foregone
My fingers twitched
On the doh, ray, me of love
Not a piano concerto
On the wings of a dove
My chords were broken
My metronome stuck
My heart was violently bleeding
Trailing along a lonely brook
Till suddenly a chorus
Melting sadness away
Quiet nights so solitary
Vanquished at bay
Loves blossoming rose
Smiled sweetly upon me
A duet at romances keyboard
I don't want to be free
Tie me down with violin strings
Hum a gentle refrain
Come hold my hand
Our abode is in heart warming domain
