Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Finding flaws in the flawless

Wind gone white
Whistles through my hair
While plastering thought
Upon the closed doors
To the corners of my
Brittled insanity.
I lost you and still
Managed to grab your
Hands in the cold
Rubble of our lives.
I swore, while you offer
Flagrant giggles to
My direction, which
Poisoned my eardrum
And sent worry out
Of my mind.

It was almost like
Being high, every word
A delicacy and perfectly
Placed, all meant to
Make my heart better.
The shades of my
Indifference would just
Melt away, like
Ice cream in the heat.
For once we were
Just people, sitting on the
Grass, smoking and
Talking about our
Lives in the future.

Our addictions would just
Sink into the dirt and
We talked about how
Normal it was to fiend,
To need the hurt, to need
The high until all we
Were was invisible.

And perhaps, the invisibility
Made it so much better.
The invisibility gave us
The control we never had.
It allowed us to smile,
And because of that,
It made it okay for us
To continue doing it.
Even our consciences
Would fight mini wars
In the back of our
Infected minds.

Liking it was almost half
The problem.
We went from sand to soil.
We went from perfect individual grains,
To hard unmanageable clumps.
