Evie And Her Mummy!

My Daughter And Her Daughter!

She was born on November 8th 2008,
A little early I have to say!
In fact, it was only by about 2 weeks,
2 days before my wedding day!

When she was born she was so ill,
And she was taken away!
In intensive care where she was safe,
And there she stayed until the 3rd day!

So there she was, a tiny thing,
All blue and red and unwell,
But getting better as time went by,
We could see her improve, we could tell!

And my daughter, this little Angels mother,
Was as poorly and as ill as ill can be!
She lost lots of blood after the surgery,
And had to have a transfusion you see!

And because she has to have sections;
Things were at risk, especially for her,
Because she has many health issues,
And no, it really isn't fair!

So both were too ill to see each other,
And though baby Evie was better first,
Still they wouldn't bring her to her mummy,
Because her mummy was much worse!

Then the night of my wedding…
They brought baby Evie to her mum at last!
For mummy was fretting and worried and upset,
And every minute seemed a nightmare that past!

Then they came home, and though not well,
They both thrived and began to excel,
And improved by the day, though it took a long time,
We were no longer living in fear, in hell!

So all is well now, they are both great,
And we can all relax and enjoy as they thrive,…
This beautiful baby, and mummy, so lucky to be here,
Yes, both are very, very lucky to be alive!!

Evie, and her Mummy!

God worked 2 miracles on that day!
And saved 2 lives!!
They are very blessed!
