There are some little things in life
That has me shake my head~
And wonder why some even try
To be sincere instead~
I like from a lady is a real warm hug
And there's no doubting that~
Nothing like a real honest hug
Without that patronizing pat~
A real hug as warm as a winter rug
That lasts that second longer~
When it is given genuinely
And just that small touch stronger~
A friendly spontaneous reaction
A gesture of friendship grand~
Nothing beats a real true sincere hug
No better form of acceptance in the land~
It's like a mans handshake
In which his character he shows~
But when a man gives a handshake that is weak
Any form of his character it goes~
Little forms and honest signs of character
I hope they don't leave and go away~
When people are afraid of little signs made
Of the signs of character that make the grade~
If you are going to give someone a hug
Than give a real one every time~
A good firm hug warm as a winter rug
No ones ever had a problem with mine~
And when I shake another mans hand
He knows his hand it has been shaken~
A handshake shows of a mans character
And of that don't be mistaken~
Honest signs of character
They show what lives within~
There's no way of pretending
To dilute them should be a sin~
A hug should be a real warm hug
A handshake good and firm~
Both meant with sincerity
The lesser types leaves a soul to yearn~
