Poetry is an expression of the heart
The very place that emotions start
From deep, dark, crazy, and wild
To light humor, uplifting, and mild
Each person has a style all their own
From free verse to rhythm and form
The content has a variety of themes
It depends on what they highly esteem
Spiritual poetry comes from my soul
Jesus has made me completely whole
He fills my heart with joy and hope
Daily giving me the strength to cope
If you feel that I am trying to preach
God may be seeking your soul to reach
He loves you and He knows your past
He will never treat you as an outcast
I will continue to proclaim what is true
What you choose to believe is up to you
We will all stand before God one day
I will not fear, I know He is the Way
