It's hard to think of the future,
When most of your life's in the past,
When your living on borrowed time,
Sands running through the glass fast
It's time now to be thinking on
The torch that we must pass
Yes we've gained a lot of knowledge
Along the way, we've made our share
Of mistakes too, we've forged through
Many battles, won most, but lost a few
So now this old torch, we will pass
Along, to the young ones now who'll
Carry on, and if by chance they should
Lend an ear, some words of wisdom we
Can impart, if they will only listen
With their hearts.
