Your life is either a journey
That goes beyond the ordinary
Or it is merely just a trip
Like scenes from a movie clip
To distinguish between the two
Depends solely upon your life view
One involves a definite set plan
The other not always known to man
A journey is like that of Lewis and Clark
An adventure of faith they chose to embark
So it is throughout the Christian life
With blessings and strength in our strife
A trip is when you want the complete say
Carefully planning each step of the way
But eventually it will lead to failure
When it doesn't happen in that measure
God wants us to fully depend on Him
Not on our own agenda and whim
The choice remains up to you
But I pray you will trust Him, too
