Come sit with me
Come sit with me, rest a while,
Watch dawn paint in glorious style,
A vista grand high mountain peak
fringed with forest and babbling creek.
The new day comes, softly silent,
Snow clad peaks tinged blue to violet.
No wisp of breath touches the lake,
Dawn's painting mirrored without mistake.
The hues of sky and dawn stained snow,
Snow trimmed leaves with mellow glow,
All reflect in majestic array
Tranquil scenes drawing one away.
Come, sit with me and rest a while,
Soul merged into scene so tranquil.
In silence listen to eternal word,
'Be still and Know that I am God.'
