ROSES     R     RED

A blizzard of red roses
To light up her life
A question to ask
“Will you be my wife?”
A day on which to remember
St. Valentine's Day
She certainly would never forget
Come what may

His heart does call out for her
In the middle of the night
Enthralled by her being
Her vision is always in his sight
Chocolates, flowers, jewels, exotic scent
A million stars plucked from night sky
Gifts of no purpose, they come and they go
Without her love he is destined to die
