 HE'S     ALWAYS     THERE

I'm tired and bedraggled
My hair's in a mess
My shirt is limp and crumpled
Haven't had the time to press
Black mascara is applied
As I jog for the bus
The darn thing went early
Leaving me to rant, rave and cuss

My whole day was a nightmare
From worse to much worse
I've got a high temperature
Think I need a nurse
But I open the door
At the end of the day
Something calls me home
And home is where I want to stay

He revives my tardy soul
Brings a smile to frozen lips
Makes me outwardly chuckle
By banal and innocent quips
I simmer in his attention
I'm a girl full of glee
He restores my tired heartbeat
He is the only one for me
