A POEM FOR MY VALENTINEFive years older than me Can it be That I have a Valentine Who's mine all mine Used to live with another Woman who was like mother Now momma's gone Three years to move on Still not ready to have a life together Generally, likes sunny weather Not the rain in my soul That fills the black hole That's been here in my heart As he'd rather be apart From life that could be good If he shared as he should Brought a red pair of thigh highs Red bustier for his eyes Red garter belt too For his eyes of blue Heart-shaped pizza pie Have a cocktail with my guy Perhaps watch a romantic movie Relax and be groovy For the groove of life to come Come on get some Sugar red Candy Sticky sweet and randy For a Valentine's kiss That is first on the list Of the things I will do To bring the Valentine out in you Been a difficult week While today I will seek That our Valentine night Be loving and right The way it must be for lovers Under my soft smooth covers As tonight I plan for fun For the Valentine I've won Romantic and kind Try the calmness to find That when I'm not stressed out His love is my clout My rhyme and my reason This Valentine season Where kisses and warm Heat the cold winter storm As there I will play I am younger to say A Valentine poem out loud Because of him I'm proud To wear my heart on my sleeve Sometimes leave me to grieve But it will turn around Because tonight the only sound That will be heard Is the word For the one Valentine Whom is mine all mine. 2/14/2008 0710 cj Vote for this poem
