Our Night
Here we are on a mountaintop,
To watch the sun go down,
I look at you and my heart almost stops,
Your beauty shining like a crown.
How can a mere sun hope to match,
The loveliness now before me,
Causing my breath in my throat to catch,
What a vision of glory.
We look to the west and there is the best,
Sunset you ever saw,
We look to the east and there to our treat,
The moon is rising with awe.
The moon is full and sheds its light,
On the two of us all alone,
Then you're in my arms holding me tight,
And the mysteries of life unfold.
Our eyes meet, our lips touch,
We hold each other so tight,
We both may have found so much,
On this wonderful night.
We lay upon our blanket,
Looking up at the sky,
The wonders of the heavens forever kept,
Our secret made on high.
As long as I live I will never forget,
The way I feel tonight,
I will remember with no regret,
And thrill with unequaled delight.
I am so happy that we have met,
For you are such a wonder dear,
My hopes are that you won't forget,
And want to always keep me near.
