Happy I Heart You DayStormy weather doesn't inspire Outside wind gusts chill you to the bone Inside huddled by the crackling fire Remembering times gone past Gathered around the fireplace Sometimes only memories last Good times to look at in review to feel like a clown, or really down easy to be depressed and blue Hot chocolate to drive away the chill Mini marshmallows on top Reminding everyone not to spill "Happy valentines" said with a grin The sight of all that is to come The togetherness we feel within Come along with me, then, my heart lifts.... The best is yet to be Life, as I grow older, Grows dearer, bolder This Love doth smolder The memories will still be there as I remember your eyes Your soft long fiery hair The touch the smell Takes me to a place far away Puts me under your spell we look back on all that we had both smile and cuddle, life's not all that bad the wind continues to blow the fire still crackling They say more snow JDW©2008 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
