granfers farm

Signatures By
The Tired Lion

when i was a wee boy on my granfers farm
i would feed the chickens n fetch the straw from the barn
i could collect their eggs and play all day
with Mary Jane from across the way

we would trip n run across the greens
i would smell the heathers and play kings n queens
i rode the tractor and ponies i fed
then i hand milked the cows in the old cow shed

we ate our greens every single day
n went blackberry picking across the way
if i was good i had a holiday
then i went to sandbanks and shell bay
we chased the ganders every day
we fed the pigs on Saturday

granfer let me go in the sties
to clean em out and we made cow pies
the dogs they barked and the ferrets were fun
i kept a few inside my pockets near my bum
i loved to tease the girls from across the way
i put spiders down their dress today

they loved it really cause they came for more
maybe it was my cheeky grin though I'm not that sure
the farm yard was the place to be
then if were good we had jelly n ice cream for our tea
