YESTERDAY'S WINE

YESTERDAY'S WINE

Sipping yesterday's wine in the still of the night
Feelings blue over what once brought delight

As words remembered breaks your heart
Once sweet wine has now turned tart

Faded rose petals on a silver tray
A sad reminder of a happier day

Reminiscing over a smile - a touch
Longing for the one that is loved so much

Sipping yesterday's wine in the still of night
Needing you to hold tight

drinking wine from a china cup
yesterday's crystal has been put up

Yesterday's wine sparkled like the dew
Was so mellow when love was new

Sipping old wine alone in the dark
Remembering things best forgot
