day trip to the isle

went over studlands ferry
      to visit swanage town
twas a lovely double decker bus ride
      saw nudists there today
saw you look the other way
then lots of grockels joined us in the bay
      came here for their holidays

      many came from birmingham
      where the rotunda dwells
      others came from redditch
they loved the sights n smells

      we saw the steam railway
      thats famous in the town
where enid blyton wrote her books
you could buy once for half a crown
      full of adventure n crooks

saw the corfe castle in the distance
      the sandy beaches too
      the punch n judy shows
      the beautiful sights
      of the purbeck isle views

we watched the tide come in
we stayed there for a while
      portland stone was chipped nearby
      we heard the gulls cry
as they swooped upon the shore
the children ate their ice creams
      then they wanted more
