Running On Empty
A spirit filled of emptiness
Is like a glass of murkiness
Where all souls fight to free themselves
Failing to see what in them dwells
A glass half full won't do as well
Rolling the dice shortchange ourselves
Of greater things GOD has in store
In CHRIST just past that open door
We hmmm and humm we say we're cool
Acting the part like worldly fools
Turning our eyes as if we see
Better than GOD who set man free
Imagine you, just as the glass
Half full, empty or full we pass
The chance to be the child of one
Given our past and things we've done
Joy is yours, all for the asking
Free of what in you is tasking
Your heart and soul GOD made and loves
Why don't you get what CHRIST thinks of
You daughter, brother and mother
Father and son to love another
You to seek and know of him
Fulfilling all he frees from sin
The glass today just like a vessel
Need not be empty, murky, why wrestle
For free you are to make a choice
Live deaf and dead or hear GODS voice
