 the gypsy poet

wally wack pony n cart

the gypsy lad drove through wallisdown
in cart for two not far from town
the little pony oh so sweet
the wheels went round mind your feet

the hill was steep to common tracks
where pylon built and pond ducks sat
where rabbits ran and fox did roam
not far from alder hills high dome

so strange a sight in urban town
where boy did sit and cart went down
the gypsy cried a warm hello
as he rode that cart far as twould go

the fellow wore a trilby hat
with just a shirt pon his back
the little lad beside him sat
within the cart at wally wack
