Canadian Heroes

Driving down the road
What is it, I see?
Yellow ribbons tied around
Telephone polls and trees.

We support our troops
Over in Afghanistan,
Fighting a war, they never started
On barren and spoiled land.

Some of our brothers
Are being killed over there,
Being remembered by us every day
Flags at half mast, fly in the air.

Canadian heroes walk
Down every dirt street,
Children smile, as they drive by
Some troops, pass out treats.

We are a Peace loving country
With our brothers, we will unite,
Keeping those yellow ribbons in remembrance
While they fight, for their life.
