I received an email today,
and it began this way~~~~~~
If I happened to show up on your door step crying,
Would you Care ?
If I called you and asked you to pick me up because something happened ,
Would you come?
If I had one day left, to live my life;
Would you be part of That last day ?
If I needed a shoulder to cry on,
Would you give me Yours ?
Caught in the moment, I penned these lines,
Perhaps someday, they will be as old as time,
On one thing; every one of us must agree,
WE ALL need a Friend, eternally~~~~
Friend, Eternally
Cry and I'll care,
Call and I'll come,
I might not physically be there,
Yet, you are never alone.
No way can we know
When that 'last day' might be,
As long as there's breath
You can always count on me.
Whether near to you, or far,
On one thing you can depend,
I'll always be with you, in spirit,
From beginning to the end.
So rest easy, my friend,
Seek peace and quiet calm,
May God's Gentle Spirit
Descend like a balm.
Knowing in your heart
That where ever you be,
You are surrounded in prayer;
Eternally.................
