Petals In The Grass

Breakable

Self-reflecting
Don't like what I see
Self-doubting
Don't like what I am
Self-assurance
I have none today
My endurance is tested
This old body
Cracked, and worn
Brittle, and frail
Careless decisions
Have brought me here
Careless remarks
That cut so deep
My extended family
Are strangers to me
Are strangers to themselves
Self-loathing
I do it so well
Exposed to unthinkable acts
Frozen in my mind
Breakable, and weak
