His crumpled body eased off the cross
Many would think His cause was lost
Even disciples I'd dare to say
Doubted with Thomas on that dark day
In arms she'd hold the son she raised
This Child the CHRIST, our debt He payed
Laying lifeless how cruel the sight
In shock mourning mans lamp of light
Prepare what once despair was spared
Sinners, the sick and blind repaired
By hands that once with touch would heal
The souls possessed under Hells heel
No words like His were ever spoken
To raise the dead with life awoken
Yet there He layed lifeless the bread
Who chose to die for man instead
His body bond with strips of linen
Laced with spices that freed man sinning
Then carried CHRIST who carried man
Inside a tomb with scars on hands
CHRIST would rest behind a rock
By those He loved He called His flock
But rise He would on that third day
To show the world now and always
I Am the way, the truth and life
I Am the one who wipes mans strife
That drowns the soul I love dearly
Your soul I made and saved clearly
I Am the one who holds the key
I Am the one on bended knee
Before my father who granted me
The chance to save and set you free
