Special Tour Guide

Perhaps you have been on a planned trip
Whether it was by bus, car, plane, or ship
The tour guide made your journey unique
Providing the knowledge that you did seek

They spent many hours learning those facts
Until they had all the information down pat
Doing research and carefully planning it out
To make it fun and exciting without a doubt

It helps us to know about the places we see
Yet our minds have a very limited capacity
To remember things, we write them down
It is a useful tool when no one is around

Think about the people in your own life
That may help you through times of strife
Imagine you had a very special tour guide
Someone that would never leave your side

Impossible, you say, but wait, there is more
This person has your whole future in store
No, this is not a psychic or fortune teller
His Holy Word still remains a best seller

It is God's Son, Jesus, who died for you
He rose again because He loves you, too
By trusting Him, He will guide your way
Only He knows each moment of your day

He is the best tour guide you will ever need
Not only that, He will be your Friend indeed
He laid out His plan like a map in the Bible
Follow His path and know that He is reliable

Your own ways may seem to work out fine
But they still fall short of God's plan divine
We can never be good enough in His sight
Just like a wounded bird is doomed in flight
