The Christmas snow (at Disneyland) among the lights,
Parades, and fireworks brought such delights!
My misty eyes embraced the Joy
Of five grandkids, my girl and boy~~~~
And a tear fell~~~~
Easter week brought us here
To a new Church home
With folks so dear,
So friendly, positive, and kind,
Comfort for my weary mind~~~~~
And a tear fell~~~~
Homesickness got the best of me,
So I relived my fantasy,
To sing with Tom, to visit friends,
To see old places, to make amends,
To spend some quiet time beside
The graves of those I love, who've died~~~~
And a tear fell~~~~~
Katy's voice rings out above the crowd,
At the airport~~~"GRANNA"~~~long and loud!
My head swells with pride, my heart unfurls
As I embrace my lovely girls!!!
At home again~~~~~
And a tear fell~~~~
John and Tracy, Katy and I
Made a trip to Monterrey
For the Fourth of July.
We sat on the beach, (we nearly froze!),
And watched the Fireworks explode
Around a Full Moon across the Bay
No words can express that Wonderful Day~~~~
But a tear fell~~~~~
In August, we took some time away,
Monterrey again, to spend the day,
and the night at the Beach, some time to ponder,
The expanse of the ocean, and ALL GOD'S wonders.
Knowing you are no more than a grain of sand,
Yet God chooses to hold you in the
Hollow of HIS HAND~~~~~
And the tears fell~~~~
Katy started Preschool, and school began,
So the Rat Race started, and we were over ran.
We are so busy, so much need to be done,
We awoke early, September 11, 2001.
And the Tower's fell~~~
And a WAR is begun~~~~~
And the tears fell~~~~
And fell~~~~
So, It's Christmas again, and I NEED to say
You mean more to me with each passing day!
I LOVE you and Pray we will always be
In a country that KNOWS what it is to be FREE!
So, in your prayers tonight, Please Pray for Peace.
Remembering our Heroes, and Flight 93,
Our Military and all we hold dear~~~~
And for Faith to succeed in the coming year~~~~
