Making the Best of Being Bald
Calvin smiles as he dances with the bride, his new Niece in Law
They say male pattern baldness is something we inherit
so I will make the best of it and write a fun poem to share it.
As a boy, I always loved the clowns that had no hair on top
I wanted mine cut just like theirs when at the Barber shop.
Now my forehead goes from front, to somewhere near the back
I often cover with my Stetson, one that's big and black.
I always tell my wife that she is my lovey dove
And my bald head is a solar panel, to power a machine for love.
When God makes a man, loose his hair and look this way
We know His sence of humor is alive and well today
When looking at us, people may snicker or sometimes laugh and scoff
seeing that, God has made us look, like a pencil with the eraser bit off.
Sometimes we may miss out on love when girls find no hair up there
Girls quite often won't pet a dog if he is loosing his hair.
I have learned to laugh and make the best of my hair style
I always hope folks ignore my hair and look to see me smile.
