I grew up in the nineteen fifties
Had few things but what I had nifties
All Star baseball a game with spinners
Those who had TV's were winners
We played outside day and night
Sure on occasion a fist fight
In the middle east today kids blowing up
Isn't it time we all passed the peace cup
Three boys under seventeen killed a gang war
It is happening in this world shore to shore
Someone will say taking away weapons control
These are not guns for hunting used to gore
Let's make this world for kids precious
Kids today have x-box, Wei, we had bowling
A real thrilling day was when it was snowing
We don't need our kids out to maim and harm
For three kids dead sets off the alarm
Make for these kids a time life is precious again
That my friends is the game we all can win
