 Spanish Villas
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The glimpse of green that breaks through
I wonder if those who bought earlier really knew?
That their once countryside would be full of bulldozers
Building more and more Spanish villas
Concrete jungles where lizards once roamed
Now cemented over with marble stone
A spectacular collage of bricks of different colours
They breed like rabbits, these Spanish Villas

2008: Taken from my new collection of poems 'The Brightraven Chronicles'
