Chosen Lights
God saved us as His elect,
To be the holy select;
For it is all in His plan,
That the chosen would be man.
We did nothing to merit,
For us all to inherit;
But because He is so kind,
We remain within His mind.
Long before time had begun,
He planned on sending His Son;
So His plan could be unfurled,
On how much He loved this world.
Because the kindness of God,
Just asks you honor and laud;
Since Jesus defeated death,
Giving us new living breath.
His grace was made manifest,
So that the Lord could invest;
Each of our lights to shine,
Next to the Holy Divine.
