It was gone!
I Was So Blind…
His Legacy; Are His Words.
For My Mum!
We REALLY Don't Talk About It, Do We? I Am!

Taken For Granted!
We take for granted…
Sight and sound,
All beautiful things,
Which grow from the ground.
We take for granted,
The darkening skies,
The swiftness of birds,
And their mating sounds.
We take for granted,
A baby's cries,
And to warn when they need us…
We ‘see' tears in their eyes.
We take for granted,
All that we hear,
All that we see,
All that is dear.
But, what of the deaf?
And what of the blind?
No hearing or sight,
What a terrible bind!
So when you wake in the morning,
To the sunshine shining bright,
Spare a thought for the blind,
Who forever live in the night!
And when you wake in themorning,
To ‘hear' the birds all sing,
Remember the deaf, who unlikeus,
Cannot hear a thing.
It's taken for granted…
All that we do,
But remember this well…
This could easily be you!
