I will never forget that day,
It started off so normal,
I was expecting you to come stay,
For the weekend and it was nothing formal.
Then you arrived in your pickup truck,
Looking like an angel from above,
I thought wow, what a stroke of luck,
Bet we could reach heights undreamed of.
Turns out that I was right,
About you being more than you seem,
You were a wildcat with me that night,
When we made love supreme.
She claimed to be a simple country girl,
From a rural town in Virginia,
But what I saw while she was in my arms,
Told me she was as sophisticated as any.
She took me by the hand and said,
In me she would believe,
Not knowing what lies in the road ahead,
But knowing I would never deceive.
As happens with all good things,
The weekend came to an end,
Vowing to meet again in the Spring,
And on this you can depend.
Now she is home with her family once more,
Tending her flowers with a gardeners delight,
Waiting for when we can get together and explore,
The stars in the heavens on a warm summer night.
