1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
{ The twelve disciples we're given this power by Jesus, the power he gave them, he still gives today, it was not limited to 12 men some 2,000 years ago, it was real then and it is real now, this is not to say that there are not hypocrites out today trying to "sell" people a healing, they will have their part in the lake of fire, if repentance isn't made }
2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. Acts 13.51 10.4-11
6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
{ No, we don't see men in long robes, walking down dusty roads performing miracles, that in no wise means that miracles and healing's are not taking place in 2008,There as real as they we're when Jesus and his disciples walked the earth performing them, the LORD works in mysterious and varied ways, he also works miracles right in front of our eyes, but sometimes we're so carnally minded, we don't see it, because it didn't happen at all the way we expected it to, so we miss it} LORD bless you!!
